Q: How much does it cost to join the INSIDE® Rewards program?
A: There is no annual fee charged for participation in the INSIDE®
Rewards program.
Q: I forgot my User ID. How can I retrieve it?
A: If you forget your User ID,

assistance, call American Express interactive customer service at
1-800-AXP-1234.
Q: I forgot my password. How can I reset it?
A: If you forget your password for American Express online services,

Q: If I obtain other cards from American Express, can I earn INSIDE® Rewards
points for spending on those cards?
A: No. You can only accrue points on eligible purchases made on your
card with embedded INSIDE® Rewards.
Q: Do points have expiration dates?
A: No. INSIDE® Rewards points do not expire.
Q: What other eligibility rules apply to the INSIDE® Rewards program?
A: Your eligible card account must be in good standing, and the account
must be billed in U.S. Dollars from an American Express operations center in
the U.S.
Q: What happens to my points if I am late making a payment on my enrolled card
account?
A: You will continue accruing points if you miss your payment deadline.
However, you will not be able to redeem points until your late payment and all
applicable fees are paid.
Q: What happens to my points if I cancel my card accounts?
A: If you cancel your card, or if we cancel your card, you will forfeit
immediately all the points you've accrued in the program.
Q: Can I earn points on purchases made by additional cardholders on my account?
A:Yes. You can earn points on eligible purchases made by additional
cardholders on your account. However, the additional cardholder on your account
may not redeem for a reward.
Q: What happens to my points if I cancel any of the additional cards on my card
account?
A: If you cancel one of the additional cards on your account, or we
cancel it, you will retain all the points you’ve accrued in the program as long
as your account meets the other eligibility requirements.
Q: How can I earn points faster?
A: You earn one point for every eligible one dollar charged on your
card. You earn two points for every eligible one dollar charged (instead of one
point per dollar) in the United States for the following: restaurants, movie
theaters, cellular phone service, dial-up internet service provider (ISP)
service, cable tv/satellite service, gym memberships and magazines and
newspaper subscriptions, as long as the merchant submits the charge under the
appropriate industry code.
Q: Can I increase my INSIDE® Rewards point balance by buying points?
A: Yes. If you don't have enough points for a particular reward, you
can buy INSIDE® Rewards points during the redemption process in increments of
1,000 at $25 per 1,000 points.
Q: What is the minimum number of points I can buy? What is the maximum?
A: You must purchase a minimum of 1,000 points in a single transaction.
You are allowed to purchase a maximum of 500,000 points in a calendar year.
Q: Can I return points after I have bought them?
A: No. Points that you buy are final and cannot be returned. They are,
however, available for immediate use and can be redeemed for a reward any time

Q: Are points that I buy the same as points that I earn with my card?
A: Yes. Points that you buy can be used in the same way as points that
you accrue for spending on the card. They are available for immediate use.

subject to all of the terms and conditions of the program, including those
concerning forfeiture.
Q: Do I earn points for the fee incurred in buying points?
A: No, fees charges to your card account do not qualify for points in
the INSIDE® Rewards program.
Q: Do I earn points on balances I transfer to American Express from other credit
cards or on cash advances?
A: No. You earn points only for eligible purchases, not for balance
transfers or cash advances.

Q: Can I transfer points to another person’s account?
A: Yes, you may transfer points to another person’s eligible INSIDE®
Rewards account once you have been a cardmember for 6 months. You will need to
call INSIDE® Rewards Customer Service at 1-800-AXP-1092 to request the transfer.
You must have the cardmember’s name and INSIDE® Rewards number, card account
number, or social security number to transfer points to his or her account. You
cannot transfer points online. There is a minimum transfer requirement of 1,000
points.
Q: Can someone else transfer points to my account?
A: Yes. If another person has an eligible INSIDE® Rewards account, that
cardmember can transfer points to your eligible INSIDE® Rewards account once
they have been a cardmember for 6 months. That cardmember will need to call
INSIDE® Rewards Customer Service at 1-800-AXP- 1092 to request the transfer.
That cardmember must have your name and INSIDE® Rewards number, card account
number, or social security number to transfer points to your account. This
cannot be done online. There is a minimum transfer requirement of 1,000 points
and a maximum transfer limit of 40,000 points in any one transaction.
Q: Can I transfer points to other rewards programs, such as Membership
RewardsSM, frequent flyer, or frequent guest programs?
A: No. INSIDE® Rewards points can only be transferred to another
cardmember’s eligible INSIDE® Rewards account or redeemed for rewards.

that are eligible to earn points.
Q: What’s the minimum number of points I need before I can redeem them?
A: You can redeem points as soon as you have enough for the reward you
want.
Q: How long does it take to receive a reward certificate?
A: You should receive the certificate within 10 business days from the
time you redeem for the reward.
Q: How long are reward certificates valid?
A: Most certificates are valid for six months from the date of issue,
unless otherwise indicated. Call 1-800-AXP-1092 to verify specific expiration
dates.
Q: Can I get points back after I redeem them for a certificate?
A: No. Once accrued points have been redeemed for a certificate, the
certificate cannot be converted back into points.
Q: Can I return or exchange my rewards certificate?
A: No. Once issued, rewards certificates cannot be refunded or
exchanged.
Q: Can I redeem reward certificates for cash?
A: No. INSIDE® Rewards certificates are not redeemable for cash.
Q: If I do not use the full amount of my certificate, can the remainder be
refunded?
A: No. Unused certificate balances will not be refunded.
Q: Can I use the reward certificate to pay tax and gratuities?
A: No. Reward certificates cannot be applied to tax and gratuities,
unless it states otherwise on the certificate.
Q: Can I redeem more than one certificate at one time?
A: Yes, you can redeem multiple certificates at one time. However,
certificates cannot be combined with any other promotional offers from American
Express or the participating partner.
Q: Do I need to make dining reservations if I am redeeming a certificate for a
dining reward?
A: Reservations are strongly recommended. Presenting a certificate does
not guarantee that a participating restaurant will be able to accommodate you
without a reservation.
Q: Am I guaranteed a ticket to an event held by one of your entertainment
partners if I am redeeming a certificate?
A: Redeeming for a certificate for one of our entertainment partners
does not guarantee a ticket to an event. Once you receive your certificate, you
may apply it to the cost of a ticket at that venue provided that seats are
available.
